Aroii Thai in Cyberjaya

This place is located at the Shaftsbury in Cyberjaya. Nested in the middle of Cyberjaya, it's one of the few area where there's a cluster of shops where you can get a variety of eateries in the otherwise quiet environment of Malaysia high tech Super Corridor.

As the name suggest, this place served street food of Thailand. 

The unique features of this outlet is that everything on the menu is priced at RM1.90 each before the taxes. 

The portion is small. One needs to take more than a couple of helpings in order to fill the stomach. Nevertheless, the food is tasty and worth a try. Only one thing that is a bit of a letdown is the noodles. It only good for one mouthful !

The food served in this restaurant is primarily grilled seafood. 

It is located in the new Wing of One Utama. 

This seafood platter is meant for sharing for 2 persons. Price is RM65.90. 

If you order one of these platter for two, you can opt to buy a side dish of their soup of the day, which happened to be fish chowder and a drink. The choice is either Coke or Passion fruit juice. But do bear in mind that the passion fruit juice is not freshly pressed. Think it's kind of like a cordial drink. 

These two items cost RM9.95 together. 

A salad will cost RM9.95 as well. 

This is an alternative choice for dinner in One Utama if you are considering seafood. 

Xfrens Restaurant

Found this restaurant in SS18 Subang Jaya. Large crowd during dinner time. Food is tasty. Only issue is that the place operate from one shop lot. Tables have to be set on the walkway and also the parking lot in front of the shop. 

Salted egg fried squid 

Tofu with pumpkin sauce. 

Clay pot chicken 

Fried brinjal. 

Steamed fish. 

The restaurant specialty curry fish head. 

Pork stir fried with garlic. 

Sushi Mentai in Kota Damansara

If you are in Kota Damansara you may want to consider dinner at Sushi Mentai if you are in for some Japanese food. 

Sushi Mentai is located directly opposite the entrance to Neighbourhood Food Court. 

The prices are very reasonable and the food is pretty good for the price. There's only two prices for sushi plate from the belt. RM1.80 for the yellow plates and RM2.80 for the red plates. 

 California roll and chawanmushi is at RM3.80 each. 

The chawanmushi is very good for that price. 

A tofu salad is at RM5.80 

There are other option including cha soba and udon. 

And finally a bowl of clam miso soup will cost RM4.80

Taking all the above, a dinner for 3 will cost less than RM80. This include GST as well. 

Great value meal.

Chinese New Year Dinner

Chinese New Year is a great time for family bonding. Nothing is better than to start with a good dinner. 

Had only these two dishes for dinner, but that's already more than enough to fill all the hungry tummies. 

Had this at Jeff Lee Kitchen. The food is good. And the price is reasonable being Chinese New Year season. 

Poon Choi. A traditional Hakka dish with a huge dose of goodies. Price is RM328. The food is quite good. But after layers and layers of meat, one tend to take smaller and smaller portion towards the end. 

Waxed meat rice. Price is RM60 per bowl. This large serving is more than enough for 10 persons. The taste is excellent.
